Patients who are receiving local anesthesia or nitrous oxide as part of their procedure at St. Louis County Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, please follow all general pre-operative instructions. Drs. Stemme, Weber, Weber, Kincaid, and Carn recommend eating a light meal prior to your surgical appointment; you may also drink water.
While you may drive yourself home, some patients may feel more comfortable bringing a driver with them.
Both local anesthesia and nitrous oxide are safe sedatives, and our oral and maxillofacial surgeons will help you know whether you could benefit from either of these in your procedure. If you have any other questions or concerns about local anesthesia and nitrous oxide in St. Louis, Chesterfield, and St. Peters, Missouri, please contact our office today.
