Meet the surgeons

Our surgeons are caring professionals who make sure your visit is as comfortable and pain-free as possible. You will meet with your surgeon for a consultation before beginning any procedure. You and your family members will have the opportunity to ask questions about your treatment, and your options will be explained in a relaxed environment. Our surgeons take extra time making children feel at ease and ensuring that they have a positive experience.

Advanced training in anesthesia allows our surgeons to provide maximum patient comfort and safety in the office setting. We offer local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, intravenous (IV) sedation and general anesthesia to meet the unique requirements of each patient and procedure.

History of St. Louis County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

St. Louis County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was founded in 1972 by Dr. Richard Weber, Sr., and Dr. John Boggiano. They met in 1955 as freshmen at St. Louis University High School. After graduation from dental school at SLU, they both served in the U.S. Navy. They began private practice in 1972 at the Beaumont Building off Washington Avenue in St. Louis.

After two years and the addition of Dr. Robert Stemme, the practice opened a second office on Ballas Road, and in 1975, opened a third office on Gravois Road. In 1987, the practice closed the Ballas Road office and opened at St. Lukes Hospital in Chesterfield. Dr. Weber’s sons, Timothy and Richard Jr., joined the practice in 1994 and 1995, respectively. A new office was then opened in St. Peters. In 2009, the practice added a fifth surgeon, Dr. Brent Kincaid. Today, the practice has three thriving offices and five doctors.

What is an oral surgeon?
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are specialists with up to six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Oral surgeons extract teeth (including wisdom teeth), place dental implants, treat patients who need bone grafting and surgically correct misaligned jaws. They care for patients with tumors and cysts of the jaws and treat accident victims suffering facial injuries.
